The M7 was a version of the large 7x50 binoculars used by the U. S. Military during WWII. They were known for their nice wide field, and were used by all branches. Post war, many of these were painted OD Green, including the leather case and neck strap, but this example was spared and is in near unissued condition. This example is marked clearly on the left plate with 7 X 50. The right side is marked BAUSCH & LOMB
